새로운 것을 배우고 궁금한 점을 스스로 알아가는 것이 얼마나 즐거운지에 대해 잘 알고 있습니다. 수업 중 파동에 대해 배우며 종파와 횡파 그리고 파동의 속력이 매질에 의해 결정되는 것을 알게 되었습니다. 파동과 매질 사이 관계에 대해 의문이 생겼고 그렇다면 종파와 횡파의 파동전달방식도 매질의 특성에 의해 결정되는 것이 아닐까라는 생각이 들었습니다. 그래서 이 의문을 해결하고자 물리학백과를 찾아보았고 파동은 진동의 형태이므로 매질은 진동이 일어나기 위한 복원력(탄성률)이 있어야하는데 유체는 비틀림 변형에 대한 복원력(층밀리기탄성률)이 존재하지 않아 횡파가 존재할 수 없으나 진행 방향으로의 압축과 팽창에 대해서는 복원력을 가져 종파가 존재할 수 있고 고체는 두 탄성 모두 가지므로 고체 속에서는 종파와 횡파가 모두 존재할 수 있다는 원리를 알게 되었다.
