Yesterday I saw an American talking loudly. I asked him to tone it down. He replied, "Speak English. I don't understand Chinese." So I said in English, "You probably don't realize but your voice can really carry." He replied, "Wow your English is great. Where you from?" I told him proudly I'm from China. Then I said, "Well since I'm a local I have one more bit of advice: You should learn some Chinese. Not because you work and live here, but because China is the future!
